This 3100 Gold is the 20W-50 grade, not the 10W-30 that the range also offers. Check that your manual permits this viscosity before weighing it against the 7100 20W-50.
3100 Gold is built on Motul's Technosynthese formula and sits in the synthetic-blend family — not to be sold as a full-synthetic equal to 7100.
With 20W-50 you get SAE hot class 50, thicker than grade-30 or grade-40 oils. Thicker does not by default mean more protection — run it only if your manual approves the grade and the performance standard lines up.
One bottle holds 1 Litre, which may be more or less than your engine's fill. Refill quantity changes with filter replacement and differs again for a dry engine; measure what your manual specifies.
Check two things against your owner's manual before buying: the API rating and the JASO clutch spec. Then stick to its change interval, including the tougher schedule for short hops and stop-go traffic.
